Light microscopy

Light microscopy often is a useful completion to electron microscopy. On demand we offer service and support within the limits of our possibilities. We are equipped with several light microscopes (ZEISS) which allow bright field, phase-contrast, DIC, and fluorescence light microscopy. Photographs are stored in digitized form . Some  examples : Scanning electron microscopical (upper row) and light microscopical photographs (lower row) of a leaf (oak); left: cross-sectioned, right: underside.

Pictures of cross-sectioned spruce needles showing the autofluorescence of chloroplasts (left) and DAPI fluorescence of nuclei (right).
